COACHING METHODOLOGY
This is what makes Warren different from most professionals-turned-instructors. Warren teaches swing fundamentals that suit your body structure and flexibility there are two motions in the golf swing that are necessary, body turn motion and arms motion on plane and your body structure and flexibility determine how long your swing is!
1. Your body’s flexibility and range of motion changes as you get older, thus causing minor changes in your swing without your conscious awareness. This means that you will constantly need to keep tuning your swing to accommodate for these changes and requiring more and more practice time. Developing a swing based on sound fundamentals means that your swing remains constant even as your body changes and you will still be able to hit the ball consistently and accurately.
2. The student can never get to the point where he/she can self-correct his/hers own swing, always relying on some external feedback to help them. Once a player understands the swing fundamentals, it is easy to analyze what error was incurred after a bad shot allowing immediate correction on the next one.
The swing fundamentals consist of 3 distinct categories:
1. Setup. This includes grip, posture, alignment and ball position.
2. Swing Components. This includes the motions that each of lower body, upper body, arms and hands make during the swing.
3. Swing Sequence. This refers to the order the swing components must be made.
There are four parts of the body you have to teach the proper motion to create good consistent ball striking. The fundamental for the golf motion are the same for everyone we create a method to suit your body structure and flexibility to create a good golf motion.
The four body parts are that have to be taught the right motion:
1 – Upper Body
2 – Lower Body
3 – Arms
4 – Wrist
Warren provides clear instruction on these fundamentals and helps students focus on those components which need the most attention. As part of his teaching methodology, Warren provides instructional literature, targeted practice drills, video feedback, and mental preparedness coaching.
